Skills & Requirements
- Technical Expertise:
- Extensive knowledge of Linux OS variants (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, CloudLinux).
- Experience with web hosting control panels like cPanel, Plesk, and DirectAdmin.
- Proficiency in configuring and maintaining web servers (Nginx, LiteSpeed, Apache, NodeJS, Tomcat).
- Strong understanding of network technologies: IPv4, IPv6, BGP, routing, bridging, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to write and debug scripts in Bash, PHP, or Python.
- Experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress, Magento, Codeigniter).
- Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible).
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to ask precise questions to understand and solve customer problems quickly.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and maintaining organization.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and take on new challenges.
- Ability to work in shifts for 24/7 support.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring & Analysis:
- Monitor the load and uptime of physical and virtual servers to ensure optimal performance.
- Proactively monitor services and analyze abuse patterns, suggesting and implementing countermeasures.
- Deployment & Maintenance:
- Deploy and configure new servers at the software level.
- Identify and mitigate DDoS attacks and other security incidents.
- Maintain and optimize services, including FTP, LiteSpeed, Bitninja, CloudLinux OS, MySQL.
- Customer Support & Troubleshooting:
- Interact with customers via email, live chat, and other channels to resolve issues and answer questions.
- Assist Customer Success specialists by providing technical expertise on service issues.
- Accurately escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
- Optimization & Automation:
- Implement optimization strategies for service and network performance.
- Work on automation projects using tools such as Ansible.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Coordinate with team members across departments to solve complex technical challenges.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and maintain documentation of processes.
