This includes proactive monitoring, deploying solutions, optimizing server performance, and responding to customer inquiries. Skills & Requirements

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Extensive knowledge of Linux OS variants (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, CloudLinux).
    • Experience with web hosting control panels like cPanel, Plesk, and DirectAdmin.
    • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining web servers (Nginx, LiteSpeed, Apache, NodeJS, Tomcat).
    • Strong understanding of network technologies: IPv4, IPv6, BGP, routing, bridging, and firewalls.
    • Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Ability to write and debug scripts in Bash, PHP, or Python.
    • Experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress, Magento, Codeigniter).
    • Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible).
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Ability to ask precise questions to understand and solve customer problems quickly.
    • Capable of managing multiple tasks and maintaining organization.
    • Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and take on new challenges.
    • Ability to work in shifts for 24/7 support.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring & Analysis:
    • Monitor the load and uptime of physical and virtual servers to ensure optimal performance.
    • Proactively monitor services and analyze abuse patterns, suggesting and implementing countermeasures.
  • Deployment & Maintenance:
    • Deploy and configure new servers at the software level.
    • Identify and mitigate DDoS attacks and other security incidents.
    • Maintain and optimize services, including FTP, LiteSpeed, Bitninja, CloudLinux OS, MySQL.
  • Customer Support & Troubleshooting:
    • Interact with customers via email, live chat, and other channels to resolve issues and answer questions.
    • Assist Customer Success specialists by providing technical expertise on service issues.
    • Accurately escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
    • Optimization & Automation:
  • Implement optimization strategies for service and network performance.
    • Work on automation projects using tools such as Ansible.
    • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Coordinate with team members across departments to solve complex technical challenges.
    • Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and maintain documentation of processes.
